Paul Associates was established in 1976.

Since that time, we’ve built a solid portfolio of properties that has stood the test of time for over 40 years. We manage condominiums, cooperatives, homeowners associations, residentials, and commercial associations heavily focused throughout the DC Metro area.

PRINCIPALS

HAROLD WARD | President

Harold Ward has been with Paul Associates for over 25 years as a property manager and technical director.  His extensive knowledge of the physical aspects of  buildings makes him an expert at contractor oversight, and contract negotiation.  Harold is a licensed general contractor and master electrician, with in-depth experience in diagnosing physical problems. He devises permanent, creative and cost-effective solutions.  His  knowledge enables him to derive realistic and accurate operating budgets and reserves schedules.

Harold has a long history of taking on communities that have physical and/or financial challenges. These communities needed serious help; with Harold’s careful financial planning, attention to physical maintenance, and long term vision, these communities are now well maintained and financially strong.

TYLER HAWES | Vice President of Operations

Tyler has his CMCA, AMS, and working on his PCAM. He is also a licensed DC Property Manager and a Principal Manager of Virginia Common Interest Communities. Tyler focuses on the operational and administrative side of Paul Associates; bringing new technology and benefits to all communities within the Paul Associates family. Tyler enjoys traveling and can be often found in Maine. Tyler lives in Bethesda with his two dogs, Chloe and Whiskey.

Property Management

PATTY FLOYD | Senior Portfolio Manager

Patty brings a vast amount of business experience to the table, with backgrounds in both sales & marketing and customer service.  She uses her skill set of prioritizing and problem solving to streamline processes and improve efficiency, while managing the office and the property management team. Patty also keeps her property managing skills honed by managing a few associations. 

Patty is a proud mother who enjoys solving crossword puzzles and reading in her spare time.  Patty enjoys a beach view while drinking a glass of cold Prosecco.

BARRY VER MEULEN | Senior Portfolio Manager

Barry, a long time Paul Associates team member, now spends as much time as possible in Mexico studying the Mayan culture and likes to explore ancient grutas.

DELIA THOMPSON | Portfolio Manager

Delia, native Washingtonian and graduate of Trinity University. Delia worked in banking for over 20 years as a Customer Relations Manager and Branch Manager.  Delia is in her second career and has been a property manager for 4 years.  Delia enjoys the customer contact and helping people solve problems.   In her free time she enjoys being with her family, assisting in her Church, drawing and painting.

TAYCHA “TEE” WOLFRIES | Portfolio Manager

Tee joined the Paul Associates team from the Reston Association in Virginia, one of the largest in America with over 21,000 homes. Tee has experience with residential communities, commercial communities, and redevelopment projects. Tee is originally from Panama and enjoys traveling back home and exploring other cultures with her son, Kalin. The world is their oyster!

COURTNEY POWELL | Assistant Property Manager

Courtney hails from New Jersey with a knack for Customer Service. She joined Paul Associates from years of Property Management Experience and knows the need for personalized service. Courtney resides in northern Maryland with her fiancée and loves to brunch with her friends and family.

SUSAN GILBERTI | Customer Service Manager

Susan is a retired Paralegal who spent 30 years of her career assisting clients in need of legal services.  She has taken those skills and applied them to the Property Management industry, and joined our team as the Customer Service Manager.  She enjoys interacting with people and problem solving.  If you have a difficult situation, Susan is your go-to gal, and should be your first point of contact.  She and her husband, Gary, have four children and four grandchildren.  Susan enjoys traveling and is an avid boater who spends her free time on the water when she is not at home with her Shih Tzu, Sammy.

KATIE DANIELS | Customer Service Representative

Katie brings history years of experience in working with vendors to better serve our customers. Katie enjoys spending her time acting and lives in Baltimore with her Jack Russell, Sass-Pot.

Accounting

JOAN FISHER | Accounting Manager

The major reporting crew.  Our Accounting Crew, managed by Joan Fisher, takes responsibility for proper reporting of financials each month, which are processed on the 15th of each month for Board review and available for viewing on their own community website!

Many companies do not customize their financial reporting.  If they do, often times, an Association is charged a fee for that service.  When you deal with our Accounting Team, they will tailor all of your reports to your Board's individual needs without that added charge.

CLARA JOLLEY | Accounting Assistant

Clara lives in Washington, DC and retired from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) after serving over 39 years of service as a Pulmonary Technologist in the Department of Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine Branch.

After retirement, she often volunteered at Paul Associates where she's been affiliated with the company for the past 20 years often assisting the the staff.  She later joined the team as an Admin Assistant.
